Trip Tips

The Opava Silesia is an attractive location in the Czech Republic that is situated between the Jeseníky mountains and the Beskydy mountains in a picturesque country between the Kružberk dam and Ostrava. It stretches over the area of 1,144 sqkm.

The southeast part is formed by the foothills of the Lower Jeseník that divides the area into two geologically and geomorphologically different units. It is this fact that gives its distinctive parts – the Opava region, the Hlučín region and the Vítkov region – a varied geological, natural and cultural character and provides interesting spots for tourism, recreation, education and relaxation.
