The Town Information Centre (TIC) Opava was founded on 1st January 2003. It is a part of the Opava Municipal Council – the Mayor's Office Department. The main purpose of the TIC is to provide free tourist information. Postcards and souvenirs with the town motives, as well as maps and publications about the town and its surroundings can be bought here. The TIC also offers copying and guide services as well as a free of charge Internet. Since 2003 the TIC Opava has been an official tourist information centre and it is certified by the Czech central office for tourism Czech Tourism.
